Jeff,

I remember having a similar issue a while ago. If I remember correctly, the
issue stemmed from the fact that in some components, FarCry uses
createUUID() to create keys for structures.  If you need to create a lot of
UUIDs using createUUID(), it does take sum time.  This was back in October
of 2005, and to be honest I cannot remember what version of FarCry I was
