You never change core unless its something that should go into core. ie. if you have a valid change request lodge it as a feature enhancement. Actually providing the code is a sure fire way to speed up the addition of it to the core: http://bugs.farcrycms.org/ Alternatively create a ./tags/widgets folder in your own project and copy the tag in there. Use that tag library instead.
