Yes - the images do show up on the page. If I go to "content" -> "Media Library" -> "Media Library Image" I can see the image there. If I go to any article and choose "Add image" I don't see any image in the "Image Library". I checked the sourcecode of the page (the page "Image Library") to see if there are references to images - but there is nothing there. I can chose the categories (root or unassigned) but that doesn't change anything.
