Totally understand where you are coming from and I think its important
as a community that we make it as easy as possible for newcomers to
get up and running.  Nothing I hate more than installation issues.

A workaround might simply be for anyone on this thread who has an
operational default installation on mySQL5 to send Robin a copy of
that database to restore.
