I create the file directly not from farcry...
eg: if my project folder is c:\project1\www
I created a file in c:\project1\www\test1.cfm

I tried to do what you have mentioned but the site on which I am working has
home site as a html page under construction. and I didn't find any floating
menu in the upper left.

I checked in farcry admin whether there is anything to set for caching I
didn't find anything.

is there a way I can set as No caching in the test1.cfm page??

kindly help me...
