Charles is a proxy (http://www.xk72.com/charles/) that you can install. It intercepts all browser calls to the web, and makes them on your behalf.
The difficulty w/Flex programming (and Ajax) is there is no "view source" option. So when CF throws an error, invalidating your xml, you will never know it happened--all you wee is that it didn't "work". Charles lets you see the requests/responses that are happening in the background.
