The easiest solution is to use the buildlink tag. It will generate a URL for you to use. What's nice about it is that if you disable FUs at any time, the call to create a link will still work. It's got several display options, but the most frequently used is to generate the full [a href=""]something[/a] tag. It can also just return the URL string. The only thing you need to do, by default, is pass it in a valid object ID. And, this ID can be a navigation point, an object, a content item, etc.
