I've been thinking about implementing an application wide cache where webskins are cached the same way as object data. By incorporating information about what has been accessed most recently and most frequently it would be able to cache efficiently without a type-by-type maximum. I think it would be an improvement in many ways, more objectbroker changes aren't a priority at the moment.
