Making a large buffer will make things slower on the DB for certain 
operations -- but in most instances folks won't see the difference. If its 
too low, however, then you may find you have data truncated.  This is a 
classic bug with large wizards -- but its not a slow down is a straight up 
break.  I suspect your issue is something else.
