Not wanting to take this off-subject, but why do you need to rebuild your FU's?

You could try rebuilding the FU's for dmHTML manually and doing them in batches 
with a script.  You'd have to write the script, but you should be able to 
re-use the code that used for rebuilding FU's in core and then set it to run in 
batches of, say, 250 at a time.
