That happens when you have an error in the sites startup script. Check what's happening in your farcry_site/config/_serverSpecificVars.cfm
Also, there used to be a requirement to place an apps.cfm in the directory above farcry_core. It would map the url to the farcry instance, e.g. <cfscript> stApps = structNew(); stApps["www.site1.com"] = "farcry_site1"; stApps["www.site2.com"] = "farcry_site2"; </cfscript> If that file is defined but you do not have an entry for your site, you might get caught in that try/catch loop.
