We're currently giving some thought to an overhaul of the site tree for FarCry 7 and since we're doing away with frames the old site tree definitely has to go.
In it's place we're thinking of having something that behaves a little bit like an object admin grid, but with some drag and drop features, async branch loading, and a quick preview that will let you toggle between the available views (desktop and mobile in this case). Here's a static demo which reflects the structure of the FarCry Core site and uses it for the previews. Click the preview (eye) icon to see the preview in action. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12855251/webtop-v4/site.html The desktop / tablet / mobile webskin support for FarCry could be hooked in to the preview buttons, and/or we could offer different buttons for different resolutions where purely responsive designs have been used (such as on the FarCry Core site). The grid in the site tree demo will probably change a bit, to perhaps include a content type column or nav aliases, and zoom support will be in there somewhere as well. We're still tinkering away on what should make the final cut. Please let us know if you have any feedback or ideas for the site tree. It's a fairly critical part of the system so we want to get it right, and this is just a very rough first cut for now :) cheers, Justin -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
