OK, so it appears I did not have teaser displays, however, the rule appears to working yet I get this message in the rule managment area:
You will need a teaser display methods each for dmHTML, dmInclude and dmLink, with the same file name and the same displayName (eg <!--- @@displayname: Horizontal Blurb --->).
