Hi John: I wonder the performance bottleneck of bitmap type query is usually dominated by I/O or CPU processing time? I see some paper said it was bounded by CPUs. However, from FastBit, it looks like the CPU processing is usually faster than I/O on my machine. I am thinking about using multi-core or GPUs to accelerate the query processing. I am not sure whether it is worthwhile. Thanks.
