Ok, but you could still try to build from MacPorts and see whether that
works. Then you can be sure at least that your build of faust2 is broken in
some way (which is what I suspect, since I can't reproduce your issue; just
tried with the latest from git). And it will install all the right
dependencies (make sure you install with variant +universal, a source build
of faust will by default need the fat libs of all its dependencies on the
Mac).
Then, if you know that the MacPorts build works, you can remove the
faustlive-devel and faust2-devel ports again and give it another whirl
yourself. If the MacPorts build does *not* work (not very likely, but not
impossible either) then that's something I'd like to hear about on the
MacPorts bug tracker.
If that doesn't give you a clue, you need to provide some more information
so that we can help. What OSX version do you have, which faust2 and
faustlive revisions did you compile, complete logs of both builds, put up
your libOSCFaust.a somewhere so that we can have a look at it, and anything
else that you think might help track down the issue. Just the error message
is not enough if we can't reproduce the issue.
