Hi,
The CICM is pleased to share the new version of HoaLibrary for FAUST.
Developed by the CICM with the Grame Team, HoaLibrary for FAUST is a set of
functions destined to high order Ambisonics sound reproduction. It contains
examples and the hoa.lib file that defines the high order Ambisonics
functions. The library is already available on the FAUST repository. For
anterior versions, you can download and add the library manually.
Functions:
encoder : encodes a signal in the circular harmonics domain.
decoder : decodes an Ambisonics sound field for a circular array of
loudspeakers.
decoderStereo : decodes an ambisonic sound field for stereophonic
configuration.
optimBasic, optimMaxRe, optimInPhase : apply Ambisonics optimizations.
wider : enlarges the diffusion of a localised sound.
map : encodes a source with distance compensation.
rotate : rotates the sound field.
Examples:
OneSourceToStereo.dsp
FourSourcesToOcto.dsp
HoaLibrary is a collection of C++ classes, FAUST functions and objects for
Pure Data, Max and VST destined to high order Ambisonics sound
reproduction. It is free, open-source and made available by CICM,
the centre of research on musical composition and computer science of the
Paris 8 University.
