So to be clear, this CHANGES how attachments and html emails are handled on the list. Previously, our topica setting would allow attachments and html emails. With the new setting, topica will NOT allow attachments or html email.
I thought I should make that clear, since sometimes I see people include attachments (usually small ones) in their emails to the lists. With the new setting, you won't be able to do that anymore. If you do send an html email or include an attachment, you'll get an automated reply from topica that says this:
We are unable to deliver the message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] because it contains HTML or carries an attachment.
The owner of [EMAIL PROTECTED] has specified that posts containing HTML or attachments will not be accepted on this list.
Please resend your message using plain text, without attachments.
Should I apply this change to fd-doc, fd-kernel, and fd-freecom? (I don't have manager access to fd-net-dev, nor do I want it.)
Please excuse the CC: to the other lists ... I thought I'd let everyone know.

So I've changed the fd-dev list setting to NOT allow html or attachments. While that won't stop virus emails from reaching the list, at least the virus payload should get stripped.
