Research Shows Improved Food Handling by Consumers The 2001 Food Safety Survey, a federal nationwide poll of 4,500 adult consumers, reveals that dramatic improvements in consumer food handling seen between 1993 and 1998 continued between 1998 and 2001. The page includes links to industry guidance, import information, and inspection references, along with warning letters and other enforcement activities. Crawford has announced the appointment of Amit K. Sachdev as FDA's senior associate commissioner for legislative affairs.
