FDA Approves New Labels for Postmenopausal Hormone Therapy

Based on data from the landmark Women's Health Initiative study, FDA has
approved changes to labeling of all estrogen and estrogen with progestin
products for use by postmenopausal women. The changes include a boxed
warning that reflects new risk information and emphasizes individual
decisions that balance the benefits and potential risks of these products.

Phase Two of Consolidating Certain Biologic and Drug Reviews Concluded

FDA has completed the second phase of its consolidation of certain
biological product reviews into the agency's Center for Drug Evaluation and
Research, a move begun last year to produce a more efficient, effective and
consistent review system for human drugs and biologics.
