It's always been my theory that what happened to Schrödinger's cat
was that it morphed into "Bill the Cat" in Berke Breathed's comic
strip, Opus. I mean, come on... what creature more exemplifies anything 
in a quasi-alive / quasi-dead state more than Bill the Cat? ;-)
