Hi gang,

Actually the is a very useful program that does everything
SecureZip does and a bit more. It's QuickZip, and its always been
free.

http://www.quickzip.org/

The things I like about it are that it can use any of 20+
encoding and encryption algorithms and read 40+ archive
extensions, it can create archives that span multiple DVDs,tapes,
whatever, it has a scripting language so you can use it to filter
your data and then auto-backup, and it uses Blowfish and AES. The
list of features is quite lengthy.

Alas, it is not cross platform being Windoze only, but its
self-extracting files can be opened almost anywhere. I haven't
tried *every* OS but all the common ones work.

There is also a lightweight cousin that will run from a USB key
without having to install on a machine.

One minor issue, the links on the website for the screen shots
don't work when you use a locked down browser.

Best,

Allen
