Since everyone else is introducing themselves, I will also.
SPYRUS manufactures the "Hydra PC Enterprise Edition" File Encryption System, the only hardware token that was approved under the DOD/ESI GSA/SmartBUY DAR award. All SPYRUS products are designed and built in the USA. We also resell a version of WinMagic's SecureDOC FDE product, which includes support for CAC and PIV cards for pre-boot authentication. That version also supports the use of the SPYRUS Rosetta token to wrap the AES-256 disk encryption key is a comparable strength ECC P-384 key - the highest Suite B strength key size. All other FDE vendors (at least to the best of my knowledge) wrap the disk encryption key in RSA-2048, or only RSA-1024. Worse yet, many only wrap the key in a password and then write that obfuscated key blob to the disk or removable token, making it highly vulnerable to an exhaustive search attack. WinMagic is Canadian, but their code has been extensively reviewed by both NSA and CSE. They were the first, and as far as I know, the only full disk encryption vendors to be certified for classified processing, using the SPYRUS FORTEZZA card. It is interesting to note that neither PointSec nor Utimaco made the DoD/GSA list or awardees, but I haven't heard any scuttlebutt as to why. Bob Robert R.
