World Yoga Community
The elections have finished in the World Wide Yoga Council "Vishwa Yoga Samsad" and the majority of the participants have voted for Swami Maitreyananda for the 2006-2019 period. Since 1997 he is the succesor of the founder of "Vishwa Yoga Samsad", Mahavatar Kirshna Kisore Dasji as president of the Council, being elected Swami Buaji as Honorary President. This Council is the one that guides to the World Wide Yoga Community.
In the World Wide Yoga Council of the World Wide Yoga Community only the Yoga Masters with lineaje and param who represent the major currents of Yoga can vote.
World Yoga Federation
In the election of candidates of the ejecutive council of the International Yoga Federation (2006-2011) which is the Government Body of the World
Yoga Community; on January 30th 2006 the election of candidates has finished. The candidates of one of the lists won unanimously by absolute majority, this list is integraded by leaders of Continental Organizations.

In the General Assembly of 2006 only this list will be presented, which has received the majority of votes making it proclaimed winner.

Terminada la elección en el World Wide Yoga Council "Vishwa Yoga Samsad" por mayoria se ha elegido para el periodo 2006-2019 a Swami Maitreyananda sucesor desde el año 1997 del fundador del "Vishwa Yoga Samsad" Mahavatar Kirshna Kisore Dasji como presidente del mismo, siendo electo Swami Buaji electo como
presidente de honor. Este consejo es el que guía a la Comunidad Mundial de Yoga.

En la elección de candidatos del consejo ejecutivo de la Federación Internacional de Yoga (2006 -2011) que es el organismo de gobierno de la Comunidad Mundial de Yoga; el 30 de enero de año 2006 se termino la elección de candidatos, proclamandose por mayoria absoluta y unanimidad de votos una sola lista que reune a los lideres de las organizaciones continentales.
