For rdf with predicates that are not in the dc namespace (e.g. dcterms)
you can use the RELS-EXT dataststream.
For extra attributes as in <dc:subject type="LCSH">: these attributes
mean nothing in rdf/xml. You could invent your own property, say
my:LCSHSubject) and use this property in RELS-EXT. That is the easy
part. But ideally you should also tell Mulgara that my:LCSHSubject is a
subproperty of dc:subject so that it can use this knowledge in answering
queries (inferring). You need to make an ontology in OWL to do that and
pass it to Mulgara.
Btw, if anyone has experience with ontologies and inference in Mulgara,
I would be glad to know.

Fedora is stripping out namespaces and the associated attributes in the
Dublin core file. We are trying to ingest an object and the DC has 4
namespaces, all of which (I'm told) are valid for Dublin Core use. So a
sample of the Dublin Core follows:

Once ingested the two extra namespaces and any associated xml
attributes/node types are removed (type="LCSH" and scheme="DCMIType"),
the dcterms:issued entry disappears completely:
