Just a quick note that I've begun a page to follow up the discussions
related to improvements in the service definition/deployment machinery
in the CMA Forum at http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/F4AEAQ .
While it's very different from the other pages in that forum, that
seemed the most appropriate location. It's a work-in-progress, so
forgive the sketchy character of the page right now.

In broad terms, there was a general consensus that improvements in
this arena needed to go beyond incremental approaches to WSDL support,
and provide a mechanism for entirely different ways of describing
services (in addition, I think, to the more restrained items I
proposed).

I'd like to work on two types of proposal here: A CMA 3.x-compatible
approach that preserves the existing SDep objects as they are, but as
one of multiple implementations of a service deployment type; and a
more speculative 4.x approach that is concerned more with a new
default type of description and a path to translation of CMA-3
descriptions.

It is a forum, so thoughts/comments are welcome (in fact, solicited!).
