There are no specific plans I know of to change the way the API is exposed over HTTP. However, architecturally I am hoping we can eventually extract it out as a service that truly runs separately from Fedora. When that happens, it seems like it'd be a good time to consider whether a straight SPARQL protocol endpoint would be more appropriate than the Fedora-specific risearch interface we have today. Or maybe something else. Do you have a particular idea in mind?
