Andreas,

I would try to do the tests with the latest, or at least recent, version
of SQLServer. When I was looking into it, I downloaded and configured a
the free, express version of SQLServer 2012:

http://www.microsoft.com/web/platform/database.aspx

Andrew Woods gave me some more information about database support in
Fedora 4. There is support for database persistence at two different
layers:

ModeShape database binary store:
https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/MODE/Binary+values#Binaryvalues-BinaryStoreimplementations

If you use Infinispan as your binary store, then there's also a database
plugin for Infinispan:
https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/ISPN/Cache+Loaders+and+Stores

Fedora 4 itself does not contain an administrative database, as it does
in Fedora 3.
