Hi folks,

This isn't that big of a deal for me, because I want to retain my PIDs
anyway, but I noticed that if I disable PID retention for my PID
namespace, I get a SAX exception:

Error : fedora.server.errors.GeneralException: Ingest failed:
org.xml.sax.SAXException

- From my fedora error log:

Caused by:
org.xml.sax.SAXException: RelsExtValidator: The RELS-EXT datastream
refers to an improper URI in the 'about' attribute of the RDF
<Description> element.
The URI must be that of the digital object in which the RELS-EXT
datastream resides (info:fedora/unb-fedora:1037).

unb-fedora:1037, in this case, is the newly assigned PID.

This appears to be a catch-22. If PID retention is disabled, how is one
supposed to set the rdf:about attribute and correctly point it at the
fedora URI for the digital object you're trying to import? Is there a
default Fedora URI that always represents the current object in scope,
in this case?

Regards,

Jason
