We have posted a workaround to this problem on the Fedora Commons
Confluence Wiki at:

http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/iYAw

We will make a modification to the Swing Admin client to have it provide
a compatibility warning instead of an error. In the future we are
planning a new Web-based Admin client. Please look for future postings
regarding community discussions on the requirements and features such an
Admin client should have.
