This issue has now been fixed in trunk (3.1+) and maintenance
(2.2.4+).  We have migrated away from sourceforge's tracker, and the
issue now lives here:

See the attachments and the comments section at the bottom for
instructions on applying the fix.  If you have any problems with the
patches, please email or enter a comment in the tracker.
