Hi all,

As many of you know, we released Fedora 3.2 last week. This is the
latest stable version of the Fedora Commons Repository software, and
we advise anyone just getting started with Fedora to begin with this
release. If you are running Fedora 3.0 or 3.1, we hope you will find
the features to be compelling, and the upgrade process quick and easy:
http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/hYF9

If you are still running Fedora 2.x, you should be aware that we are
focusing all development efforts on 3.x, and we do not plan to release
any new versions of 2.x unless a serious security or data loss flaw is
discovered.

I know that many of you have already migrated to 3.x, or are in the
process of doing so. If you haven't started yet, I'd like to encourage
you to check out all the improvements that have been made since 2.x:

  Fedora 3.0: http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/NgBI
  Fedora 3.1: http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/YoB9
  Fedora 3.2: http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/aImv

...and consider upgrading to Fedora 3.2 soon. By bringing your Fedora
installation up to date, you'll also benefit from easier upgrades in
the future.

Not sure where to start? We have provided a 2.x to 3.2 migration guide here:

If you're attending OR'09 next week, I'd also like to recommend that
you check out Michael Durbin's talk, "Fedora 3: a smooth migration".
Michael will discuss the Indiana University Digital Library Program’s
experience in migrating a large production repository from Fedora
2.2.4 to 3.1. For more information, see:
