As I learn about Fedora, I'm wondering where to store fields that I want to search on.
For example, I'm storing downloaded web pages. I store each page in a Fedora object with two datastreams, one for the content of the page itself and one for HTTP metadata such as the URL. I want to retrieve a downloaded page by referencing its original URL. I could add a "source" attribute to the DC datastream, or I could create my own predicate and add it to the RELS-EXT datastream, then find a page using Fedora's RISearch service. Is either method preferable? Or should I reserve the DC and RELS-EXT datastreams for Fedora's own metadata and maintain my own separate database of URLs?
