We're just starting to evaluate Fedora 3.3 on our test server, but Fedora alone
is refusing to start (all other Tomcat applications are starting fine).
Inspection of catalina.out reveals only this:

INFO: Deploying web application archive fedora.war
Jan 4, 2010 12:34:01 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start
SEVERE: Error filterStart
Jan 4, 2010 12:34:01 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start
SEVERE: Context [/fedora] startup failed due to previous errors

With nothing else to go on (of course, there's nothing in fedora.log, because
it's not even getting far enough to create it).

Initially I attempted the install as an upgrade from 3.2, and when that didn't
work, I tried it as a stand-alone Fedora using the bundled database. In both
cases, I used the same Tomcat 6, which I originally got from the openSUSE 11.1
repositories. The only time I've gotten Fedora 3.3 to start is when I used
both the bundled Tomcat and the bundled database, which makes me believe that
it's an issue with my Tomcat... maybe something new in 3.3 that 3.2 didn't
require. However, the error is leaving me blank, so any suggestions of things
to check would be greatly appreciated.

And last but not least, I want to thank everyone for their hard work in the 3.3
release.

Jeremy
