Good day.

I have recently starting to use Fedora Commons and have some questions on
extending the unqualified Dublin Core record.

We want to extend the standard Dublin Core record by adding a number of
additional elements and by refining some of the standard elements.

What would be the best approach to achieve this? It seems that Fedora-Commons
does not work well with extending the DC (with ID DC) datastream by adding
additional elements and by qualifying some of the standard elements.

Is there another approach than to create an additional datastream just for the
new elements and refining attributes? Does this mean that there will be a
datastream with id DC and a datastream with id DC-EXTENDED?

Regards.
