Hello. The Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) and Atomic Object are looking to hire a Fedora expert for a short term consulting engagement. We expect about a half to full week of consulting.
OAISD is kicking off a number of new projects and is seriously considering using Fedora for storing common content between the projects. One project is underway and storing content on disk, but we'd like to migrate to a solution like Fedora as soon as possible. Atomic Object's role is in building the new systems. Before we deploy and begin using Fedora, we have some high level questions: * Given OAISD's vision for the new projects, is Fedora a good fit? If not, what other systems should we be considering? * Assuming Fedora is a good fit, how should we be structuring our content, metadata, relationships, etc. within the Fedora system? * In particular, how should the project that's already underway be saving content such that it's well represented for future projects? Ideally we see the consulting engagement playing out something like this: * 1-2 days introduction to Fedora, understanding if it is a good fit for our needs, and high-level training. * 1-2 days fitting the existing project into Fedora such that the content is structured to work well with future projects Clearly there is some variance here, but we can work out specifics once we start talking. If you're interested in helping us, please respond to me ( [email protected]) as soon as possible. We'd like to work together with you in a late May - early June timeframe. Likewise, if you can refer us to any experts or companies, let me know. Thanks! Matt Fletcher Atomic Object [email protected]
