Jason- Is this a documented feature in Fedora? I don't know that FCRepo has ever handled those URLs in dsLocation values (if it is documented, this is definitely a bug). It's actually a pretty trivial change to support this, and it's in a module that you can implement and override yourself in the meantime: The ExternalContentManager module needs to pass http URLs to: org.fcrepo.server.storage.translation.DOTranslationUtility.makeAbsoluteURLs(String input)
... and process the result rather than the original input. We're trying to complete testing on the 3.6 release candidate right now, so going the module route may be the safest bet, but we can discuss it on the committers' call this week. Those are open to anyone to join: the agenda and directions for joining will be on the wiki tomorrow at: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FCREPO/2012-06-21+-+Fedora+Committer+Meeting or you can check the previous week's page at https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FCREPO/2012-06-14+-+Fedora+Committer+Meeting. - Ben On Wed, Jun 20, 2012 at 10:22 AM, jvarghes <[email protected]> wrote: > Thanks for the reply Scott.
