Thanks for the pointer to the API-M method.  Since I won't be getting on 3.6 
for a bit I will sock this one away for later and stick with parsing the object 
XML for now.

Chad,
  You're looking for a different REST method:  The management API can
send you a complete profile for a datastream.  Alternately, you can
upgrade to Fedora 3.6, where adding the a profiles = true to the url
will send back a list of all the object's datastream profiles.
