Hi Bengt,

using Mulgara I've run to the following problem
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg04388.html
and
also a query for objects where I want $itemID $title $cmodel $created
$modified + sort by modified date was not going to finish after 6hrs. We
have only like 20 million triples, so I guess we are way under any limit.
Maybe we are doing something wrong, I don't know..

This week I tried MPTStore (it created ~20 million rows) and the query took
~20 seconds. The advantage is, I'd guess, that there are good tools to
analyse what's going wrong if a query on Postrgesql (or other usual
relational database) is going wrong and tricks to possibly make it faster
(where Mulgara is kind of blackbox for us).

The downside is there is no iTQL or Sparql support so far! So I guess if
you need to have a sparql endpoint, it's a show stopper for MPTStore
approach. I was also thinking if we should not consider some other
triplestore, but then the direct support from FC is missing.

Or am I wrong at some point?

Rasta
