[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ ls -l
/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so
ls: cannot access
/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so: No such file
or directory

So that looks like a problem:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ locate gcjwebplugin.so
/usr/lib/gcj-4.3.0/libgcjwebplugin.so
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so
/usr/lib64/gcj-4.3.0/libgcjwebplugin.so
/usr/share/doc/libgcj-4.3.0/README.libgcjwebplugin.so

Seems there is an extra jre in the path.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ ls -l /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/*java*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 2008-11-03 14:55
/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so ->
/etc/alternatives/libjavaplugin.so.x86_64
