But that is different from having xfce as an option: currently, it appears that 
one would have to install all the non-essential packages with Gnome and KDE in 
order to have XFCE. 

There is a torrent option available on the Custom spins at 
http://spins.fedoraproject.org/ is there a non-torrent option possible?
