Hi, I installed Fedora 10-x86_64 with KDE desktop and one of my problems is
that I do not get any sound at all.

As you can see below, I have two sound cards: (on-board) ICH9 and Sound
Blaster Live! 24-bit External

[r...@localhost ~]# cat /proc/asound/cards
>
 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xfdff4000 irq 22
 1 [External ]: USB-Audio - SB Live! 24-bit External
Creative Technology SB Live! 24-bit External at
usb-0000

[r...@localhost ~]# lspci | grep Audio
>
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 02)

I have installed pulseaudio

[r...@localhost ~]# rpm -qa | grep pulse
>
pulseaudio-esound-compat-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
pulseaudio-module-x11-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64

pulseaudio-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
pulseaudio-libs-glib2-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
pulseaudio-utils-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
alsa-plugins-pulseaudio-1.0.18-2.fc10.x86_64
pulseaudio-libs-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
pulseaudio-core-libs-0.9.13-6.fc10.x86_64
kde-settings-pulseaudio-4.1-4.20081031svn.fc10.noarch
pulseaudio-module-gconf-0.9.13-6.fc10.x8

and pulseaudio is running fine.

[r...@localhost ~]# ps -ef | grep pulseaudio
>
tishbe 2832 1 0 18:46 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --start
root 3386 3137 0 19:01 pts/1 00:00:00 grep pulseaudio

I have been wrestling with this problem for last few days and I am now
frustrated.

Any suggestion or advice would be appreciated.
