Hello, I have a machine with F8 64-bit installed, that has nspluginwrapper for Flash, and apparently, Adobe Acrobat reader (acroread) to be in-browser acrobat reader. I don't want to use acroread because I actually like KPdf as an external reader (not inside Firefox). So I am trying to remove this specific plugin from nspluginwrapper. But everytime I removed the plugin files by hand, it will get recreated again the next day. Apparently somehow nspluginwrapper generates these plugin files. The result is, because I longer have Acroread, everytime I click on PDF file it complains that it cannot find acroread.
So, how do I remove this plugins ? Here are I think the culprits that get re- created by nspluginwrapper: # locate nppdf /root/.mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so /usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.14/plugins/nppdf.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins-wrapped/nswrapper_32_32.nppdf.so /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins-wrapped/nswrapper_32_64.nppdf.so I tried something like this, but it didn't work: # /usr/lib64/nspluginwrapper/npconfig -r \ /usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.14/plugins/nppdf.so nspluginwrapper: /usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.14/plugins/nppdf.so is not a valid nspluginwrapper plugin I found 'mozilla-plugin-config' executable, but the options says that "-r" will remove all installed plug-ins. I want to keep the Flash player plugin, but not the PDF plugin. Is that possible ? # mozilla-plugin-config --help <snip> -i --install Install/wrap all availabile plug-ins -r --remove Remove all installed plug-ins ... Thank you for any help.
