OK, then I am using the non-free version already. I can plug in my Palm,
create a USB device on the VM (and Windows XP inside the VM pops up the
window recognizing the new hardware), but when I press the sync button,
nothing ever happens. I get the same behavior with VirtualBox and KVM
both. The same Palm with the same cable syncs fine to a native Windows
XP boot on the same machine, as well as to Linux/Evolution on the same
machine. But since several others have reported success with this, I may
have to try again.
