I would take it as a complement Ray.  What I think they really mean is
"Your books are so great I don't understand why there isn't a movie about
them." and since it must be SO obvious to the producers that your books
should be movies it must be you who has decided not to allow it. Pitty (in
general) film producers don't see the world that way.
