I think it's not that simple...My guess is that he will be needed elsewhere in 
light of certain beings  returning...where did the V go and why and where will 
the great magics come from for the defeat of this big new enemy that may be new 
to us but can't be new to the world...who will lead the physical armies while 
the magicians traverse the metaphysical realm with thier modified demon friends 
and what other allies will the source send their way....  The tapestry is great 
and can't wait to see how Ray weaves it all together but lots of threads 
dangling at the moment that could go in so many tantalizing directions...so, 
yes I was trying to get Ray to give something away...do you really blame me?  : 
)
