Hey all..
I looked over the list and didn't see any recent discussion.. Has anyone else taken a read of Ready Player One? Author is Ernest Cline (The guy who wrote the movie Fan Boys)... It's a very good book.. Nowhere near the caliber or depth of Ray's works (And I am not just saying that.) It's an easy read, a good waste of time. and if you haven't heard. you can win a Delorean.. (not a joke) Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone else on the list, maybe even Ray himself have read the book, or are currently involved in the RL egg hunt. The contest involves finding a url which is hidden in the book, and then beating a game when you get there. and after that you get a QR to find the second gate. Second gate opens in about 4.5 hours.. But regardless. Third gate doesn't open till midnight EST on Aug 1. so as long as you get through gates 1 and 2 before you get to 3. Doesn't matter if you get to gate 2 tonight. as long as you clear 1 & 2 before 3... first one to complete the gate 3 challenge wins the Deloran. Not allowed to get help from anyone.. And you have to be in the US.. Just wanted to see if anyone else was aware of this.. Larry PsiHawk
