Usually if there is a long line, Ray will only sign say three books
per person and send them to the back of the queue for a second chance.
(Also common in short queues out of politeness for the others in
line). That way everyone gets a turn. It would be rare for people to
miss out- that would imply a very tight deadline to Ray's next
appointment.
