Slightly OT, i went to a heavy metal club in Guildford once. Scary place,
however it helped with imagining some of the darker places in Rays book.

having looked up Toowoomba I can safely say it isn't near anything let alone
Guildford!

Of course this could easily be seen as a positive!

Don’t know what it was like at other signings but after about 35 mins the queue
was only a handful of dedicated fans getting as many books signed as possible.

Step 1, Take all ya books

Step 2, Sort books in order you want them signed favourites first etc.

Step 3, Sort all dust covers of hard backs so when you open them it’s at the
correct page for speed

Step 4, If Ray is doing dedications have a post it note with ya name on it
stuck on the page you want signed

Step 5, Get there early so you at the front of the queue

Step 6, Take as many friends/family with you as possible its 3 book per person
in most places.

Step 7, Join the back out the queue

Hope it helps

Paul

Lol,

I took 12 in to the shop with me queued up 3 times and had a little bit help
from another fan in the queue, then had go running up Guildford High Street
like a nutter to get back to the car to get the rest of them before Ray Left.
Then the young women from Harper helped me sort them all out to get them all
signed. I thought I did well getting 10 signed at forbidden planet but
yesterday was epic.

Hi All,

Just want to say massive thank you to Ray and his lovely assistant from Harper
Collins/Voyager for the signing in Guildford yesterday, when things got quite
I managed to get 22 books signed which saved me a trip to Reading for the 2nd
signing of the day. So I am now the proud owner of a complete signed set of
the Rift War Cycle.

The young women for Harper Collins/Voyager told me that Ray will probably be
back in 2 years when the first book in his new series is released. At which
point we will be able to get copies of the Chronicles of Pug signed as well.

Regards

Paul
