Modify installer to determine if it is root and install into init.d

Currently, adding the Felix daemon to init.d is disabled since we don't want to
require users to be root to install Felix; however, it would be nice if the
installer could recognize whether the user was root or not and then install the
Felix daemon into init.d if it had sufficient privileges.
