Anyway we need a conditionnal compilation since jmx API is only brought in 
jdk1.5 and later. 

I saw that it is possible in maven to have profiles that lists which
artifacts should be compiled when a specific jdk is used.

I have made the modification in the pom.xml at my site I'll send the
modified pom.xml to rick.
